Privacy policy

Last updated 9 July 2026
The short version: CrayonKit collects nothing. There is no account, no analytics, no ads, and no network connection for your content. Every drawing, photo, and voice note stays on your phone.

What we collect

Nothing. CrayonKit has no user accounts and no server that receives your data. We do not know who you are, and we cannot see anything you create.

What stays on your device

All of it lives in the app's private storage on your phone. Uninstalling the app removes it. We have no copy and cannot recover it.

Voice notes and the microphone

The microphone is used only when you tap record to add a 15-second voice note to a character. This is the app's only runtime permission, it is off until you grant it, and you are asked in plain language first. Voice notes play inside the app only — they are never included in any exported picture, PDF, or share unless you deliberately share the audio yourself. Nothing recorded is uploaded anywhere.

No network for your content

CrayonKit works fully in airplane mode. Your artwork and voice notes are never transmitted off the device. Sharing is done through your phone's own share sheet — when you choose to send a picture card or PDF, your phone handles it, and only what you pick is shared.

Children's privacy

CrayonKit is designed for families and is safe for mixed ages. Because the app collects and transmits no data at all, it stays clear of children's-data collection rules by design. There are no ads and no in-app pressure directed at children; any purchase prompt speaks to the parent.

Purchases

The optional one-time upgrade is handled by Google Play Billing. Google processes the payment; we never see or store any payment details.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date.
